Hon. David Lyon, Darlon Security And The Restoration Government

The Chairman of Darlon Security & Guards Nigeria Ltd, Hon. David Lyon, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa state, is a man who has about 5000 Bayelsans on the payroll of his company. Aside being an employer of labour, employing thousands of Bayelsans, thereby reducing the menace of unemployment in the state, Hon. David Lyon is also a philanthropist of no mean repute. Some of his philanthropic gestures includes; 

1. Support and empowerment of physically challenged persons.
2. Support and empowerment for widows and the elderly.
3. Free medical outreaches in communities
4. Scholarship schemes for over 7 years running, by the David Lyon foundation
5. Building of houses for indigent Bayelsans 
6. Purchase of vehicles as means of empowerment for indigent Bayelsans.
7. Support for primary health facilities in the swamp area
8.  Empowerment of women etc.

It may also interest the public to know that, all you need to be a beneficiary of these philanthropic gestures is to be a Bayelsan or of Ijaw extraction, and not a member of the APC.

The restoration government of Henry Dickson in its usual vindictive onslaught against APC stalwarts in the state, is on a desperate mission to strip Hon. David Lyon of the security contract awarded to his company, Darlon Security & Guards Nigeria Ltd, by the NAOC. The connivance of Gov. Dickson with his rubber stamp house of Assembly members, known for their mundane constituency projects, is politically motivated to persecute David Lyon, whose only sin is belonging to the APC.

In Dickson's desperation, he went as far as going to the international headquarters in NAOC, where he tried to influence the termination of the security contract AGIP awarded to David Lyon’s company. And in the stead of David Lyon, Dickson recommended a bosom friend of his, Rtd. Maj. Lancelot Anyaya, who happens to be a Rivers man. For a man who has professed so much love for Bayelsa, to desperately seek to replace a Bayelsan with a Rivers man, speaks volume of Dickson's love for Bayelsa.
