BAYELSA ASSEMBLY COMPLEX TO BE SHUTDOWN

Reliable information has it that Preparations are in top gear by  the people of Brass Constituency II, OGBIA constituency II and OGBIA constituency III to occupy the BAYELSA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY COMPLEX to prevent any legislative business until their representatives are sworn-in.

Recall that the Speaker and Clerk of the Assembly have refused, without justification to swear in three members-elect representing the aforementioned constituencies, several months after an Appeal Court judgement in their favour.

The blockade and occupation of the complex is planned for Tuesday, when some commissioner nominees are billed for screening by the  Assembly. Some of the constituents claim that they have decided to take up the fight because the denied mandate belongs to the people and not the affected members-elect. They maintained that enough is enough for the impunity and injustice that has shortchanged them for nearly a year.
