THE NOTORIOUS BATTLE OF BAYELSA STATE RESTORATION GOVERNMENT AGAINST DAVID LYON; MY TAKE ON THIS PERFIDIOUS ENCOUNTER By Dimeari Fred

As the efforts to pull down Darlon, the security and surveillance company belonging to David Lyon thickens, ordinary Bayelsans who know how this company has created employment opportunities to so many Bayelsans while the doors of the civil service remains under lock and key have resorted to crying out in the face of terror.

The State Assembly and the national assembly members of our state, loyal to the state government who kept mute when youths of Amassoma were massacred few months ago have suddenly opened their mouth in the state HOA and in the green chamber of the national assembly to pull David Lyon plus his employees down into penury.

This government has been bad but now it's worsened so we can't remain silent anymore. Come, let's reason together:

The HOA has no right to legislate or carry out oversight functions on issues in the exclusive list where oil and gas matters belong.

Secondly, the house of assembly has no right to investigate criminal allegations. It is the duty of the Nigeria police to do that, not house of assembly. The allegations against Darlon include illegal bunkering and killing of innocent people among others which fall within criminal offences, investigatable by the Nigeria police, not the HOA.

It beats the imagination of many Bayelsans why the victims, (if there is any) did not report to the police. Why is it the Dickson's House of assembly which lacks the necessary legalization to investigate criminal allegations that has invited Darlon,  (David Lyon's company) for investigation?

Is it not clear that David Lyon is being hunted for political reasons and for creating job opportunities for Bayelsans, against the  wishes of the so called restoration government?

If yes, then Bayelsans need to know why this government is so against her own people.

Generally, it is absolute absurdity to think that Bayelsans are fools, we know that the present HOA members are Dickson's palace boys who do the will of Dickson and not the people they represent. No wonder , they are willing tools in the hands of enemies of Bayelsa in sheep's skins.

Let me also say this, "no amount of washing can make the black coloured kombowei as clean as the white coloured David Lyon in Silga and the entire Bayelsa State.

Power is transient and it comes from God. No one or group can change the direction of the winds or the current and waves of the Atlantic ocean. The word is caution, posterity, the incorruptible judge is ever alert!
