SOUTHERN-IJAW IYC DISASSOCIATE SELF FROM STATEMENTS AGAINST DARLON SECURITY, PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE SECURITY FIRM

The attention of the members, leaders and stakeholder's of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) representing the various clans in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa state, has been drawn to inciting and unfounded allegations against Darlon Security firm credited to us.

We wish to state unequivocally that the entire IYC subjects of Southern Ijaw LGA, are not part of such statements, as at no time where we consulted before the issuance of such statements that borders on us.

As indigents of the LGA, we confide in Bayelsans, Agip and other agencies, that the allegations that arms are being stockpiled in the LGA, is totally false, not true, but a figments of the imagination by the orchestrators.

We express our confidence in Darlon security firm, and pass a vote of confidence, to support them as they go about their activities.

The Youths of Southern Ijaw are major beneficiaries of this outfit, since the emergence, there has been relative peace and we wish to continue in it.

Lastly, we call on all members of the IYC to continue to support programmes and initiatives as this, that will add to our growth and development.
