The Facts About The Allegations Against Darlon Security and Guards Nig Ltd

The restoration government of Henry Seriake Dickson, I insist, is a government of lies and deceit. I have severally exposed the lies of Dickson's administration and I will continue to do so.

After it dawned on Dickson and his co-travellers that they can’t use the state House of Assembly to achieve their sinister plot against Darlon Security and Guards Nig. Ltd, they chose to use the House of Reps, which is in order. But they lied when they deployed their media team to misinform the public that the House of Reps has ordered a suspension of the contract awarded to Darlon Security and Guards Nig. Ltd, by NAOC.

It is also noteworthy to state that nowhere was the Green Chamber informed that the company was involved in economic sabotage (oil bunkering), as the merchants of falsehood had wanted us to believe. Neither was there any mention of extra-judicial killings as alleged against the security outfit.

Clearly, Dickson is on a political witch-hunt against David Lyon, and would spare nothing in ensuring he cripples his company.

It also remains to be seen how they can substantiate the allegations of violent protests against the company, leading to deaths. These nihilists shall bow their heads in shame in the end.

Below is the proceedings on the floor of the House of Representatives on the 18th July 2018. I challenge the peddlers of falsehood to point out where such order was given. It was the seventh item mentioned on the said day, and I am presenting it unedited, maintaining the original state it was recorded.

“7. Need to Investigate the Award and Payment of Pipeline Surveillance Contractors by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Bayelsa State:
Hon. Frederick Y. Agbedi,  Hon. Henry Daniel Ofongo, Hon. Sodaguwo Festus-Omoni ,Hon. Douye Diri, Hon. Jephthah Foingha:
The House:
Notes that Bayelsa State plays host to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) as it has its personnel, pipelines and other oil installations spread across various communities in the State;
Also notes that as a result of pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region and upon the subsequent implementation of the Presidential Amnesty Program, it was agreed that pipeline surveillance contracts be awarded to the host communities to foster development of the communities and empower the people;
Concerned that rather than award the pipeline surveillance contracts to the host communities, the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Bayelsa State has awarded the contracts to some favoured allies and that has resulted in several conflicts in the respective communities as the youths feel marginalized and have, on several occasions, expressed their grievances through violent protests sometimes clashing with security operatives attached to the contractors resulting in loss of lives and property;

Also concerned that unless this abnormality is corrected and the respective host communities are carried along, the issue of Pipeline Surveillance Contracts by the Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) will continue to brew violence in the State;

Resolves to:
Constitute an Ad-hoc Committee to:
(i) investigate the award of pipeline surveillance contracts by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Bayelsa State to ascertain the beneficiaries of the contract awards and/or employment and their impact on the oil producing communities and the country as a whole;

(ii) determine the effect of the contracts on the net national revenue derivable from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/Nigerian Agip Oil Company joint venture operations and report back within three (3) weeks for further legislative action.”
